About 400 Chonburi residents showed their support of the Thai military’s government coup, giving soldiers flowers, noodles, snacks and water at the Nawamindhachini army base.

Col. Prateung Kaewtui, representative of the 14th Military Circle, warmly welcomed the visitors May 27, five days after the Thai Army ousted the Pheu Thai-led government.

The 400 residents provided water and offered roses to soldiers in a friendly atmosphere filled with smiles. The residents told military officials they were willing to comply with the military’s policies in order to reunite the nation.
