The 3,935 new cadets from across the country reported for training in Sattahip Nov. 4.

Capt. Thadawuth Tadpitakkul, commander of the Recruit Training Center, said the conscripts were checked for drugs, illegal weapons and serious contagious diseases.

The men underwent urine tests for drugs while sailors and dogs searched their packs and bags. Those in need were given vaccines and booster shots.

Any recruit found using drugs will be sent for rehabilitation at Wiwatponlameung School.
