Five street vendors were arrested for allegedly selling alcohol without a license during Pattaya’s Songkran finale.
Police, Banglamung District and Excise Department officials scooped up five sellers around 4 p.m. on April 19, Pattaya’s “wan lai” water-splashing day.
All were hawking booze with their water pistols and powders on Beach Road. Officers seized canned and bottled beer and other liquor.
The vendors complained others were doing the same but were not arrested.
