Nearly 600 Pattaya and Jomtien beach masseuses were checked to ensure they’re properly trained and registered at a city hall meeting.
Mayor Sonthaya Kunplome opened the annual general meeting for the three massage organizations in Pattaya, Dongtan and Jomtien beach zones Jan. 16. Registrations were checked and renewed for the 572 massage therapists.
They also presented proof they reside in Banglamung District and hold accreditation from a traditional Thai massage institute certified by the Ministry of Public Health.
The masseuses and masseurs also were invited to participate in the a local sports competition at the Pattaya Youth Sports Center Feb. 13, the Jomtien Fun Run and beach yoga on Feb. 26, and a Beach Umbrella Club blood drive at Redemptorist Technological College May 27. (PCPR)
