Paramedics give emergency treatment to the injured baht bus passengers at the scene of the crash.

A Pattaya baht bus packed with passengers was rammed into by a speeding pickup sending passengers flying in all directions.
The accident happened on Jomtien 2nd Road on Sept 3 when a baht bus driven by Sittisak Kaewpuang 54, carrying 5 passengers decided to make a U-turn from the left most lane across the wide road. He didn’t make it, because a speeding Isuzu pickup driven by 36-year-old Panupong Marach slammed into the rear of the baht bus with such force, he lost control and went flying over the sidewalk and into the bushes injuring the driver in the process.

The baht bus driver managed to control the vehicle and stopped just before it went over the sidewalk too. The 5 passengers suffered injuries from being tossed around in the back of the baht bus. After paramedics gave them first aid on the sidewalk, they were taken to a hospital by ambulance for further treatment.
Police checked both drivers for blood alcohol levels and will look at the CCTV footage to determine the cause of the accident.
