Eighty army personnel from the 21st King’s Guard and Banglamung police stormed Rong Luey village Dec. 13. Residents were subjected to drug tests of their urine and 10 were found to have narcotics in their systems.

They were interrogated to find their supplier and sent to a mandatory drug-rehabilitation program.

Authorities have declared Rong Luey a hotspot or “red zone” for drugs due to large numbers of both traffickers and users.

No dealers were found in the raid, however.
