Seven Burmese and two Indian nationals were arrested on visa violations as the Immigration Bureau conducted its latest “Operation X-Ray Foreigner” sweep in Pattaya.
None of those arrested Oct 17 at the Lek Apartment on Soi Sunee were identified. One Burmese and an Indian national were busted for overstaying their visas by one and two years, respectively. Seven other Burmese were taken into custody for illegal entry into the kingdom.
The arrests at the Lek were Immigration’s only successes that day.
Officers also inspected the Kings Bird’s Nest in Najomtien and three temples – Suthawat, Tungka and Nong ket Noi. All 243 foreigners checked were legal and drug-free.
