Accused gold, motorbike thieves arrested

Pattaya police arrested a suspected motorbike thief and necklace snatcher in separate incidents.

At a Sept. 9 press conference, officers presented Suthee Thiyawat, 25 of Naklua, who was accused of stealing a gold necklace from a Naklua Soi 15 resident on Sept. 4 and reselling it for 14,500 baht.

He was captured with 3,700 baht left. He told the press conference he stole the chain because his salary was too low.

Police bring out 2 accused criminals for the press.

Also rolled out was Sopon Mohsart, 23 of Kampaeng Phet, who was accused of stealing three motorbikes. An arrest warrant was issued after he fled Pattaya, but he was captured at his father’s house in Lopburi.

He confessed, but to stealing only one bike, not three.
