The Amari Orchid Resort & Spa and Central Center Pattaya celebrated HM the Queen’s 81st birthday by offering an 81-meter-long persimmon almond tart, servings of which were sold to raise money for charity.
The hotel and North Pattaya mall sold one-meter slabs of peach-covered chocolate Aug. 11-14 for 790 baht each and individual slices for 70 baht for the “One Baht Coins for Life” project and Pattaya’s public schools. Slices and cakes can also be ordered through Aug. 31 from the Amari.
(L to R) TAT Pattaya office director Rattanachai Suthidechanai, Amari social-development projects director Latiporn Thongkhunna, Mayor Itthiphol Kunplome, Central Center GM Kessrin Manirat, and Chonburi MP Poramet Ngampichet started the cake cutting to open this year’s charity event.
The 500kg fruity birthday delight was unveiled Aug. 10 at the Amari mall with hotel executives and local politicians in attendance.
Amari social-development projects director Latiporn Thongkhunna said the dessert was one of many annual creations to honor HM Queen Sirikit and also a great way to raise money for needy causes.
The Central Center event also featured performances from the Dance Studio and a fashion show by sponsoring mothers and children walking the runway.
