The Amari Orchid Resort & Spa and Central Center celebrated HM the Queen’s 79th birthday by offering a 79-meter-long chocolate peach cake, pieces of which were sold to raise money for charity.
The hotel and North Pattaya mall sold one-meter slabs of peach-covered chocolate Aug. 11-14 for 790 baht each and individual slices for 79 baht for the “Baht Coins for Life” project.
Delicious chocolate peach cake.
The fruity, chocolaty birthday delight was unveiled Aug. 3 at the Amari by General Manager Max Sieracki. He said the dessert was one of many annual creations to honor HM Queen Sirikit and a great way to raise money for needy causes, as each 790 baht wedge offers chocolate lovers 12 pieces.
The Central Center event also featured a Thai music contest, children’s pageant and performances from various Pattaya schools.
