Another large sea turtle has washed up on shore, this time on Sept. 21 in front of Jomtien Beach Soi 18.
The rare hawksbill turtle measured 45cm long and 25 cm wide. It had large holes in its shell indicating it was either attacked by a large sea predator, struck by a passing boat, or hit by the propeller of a passing boat.
Proper authorities were notified and the deceased diapsid was taken away for autopsy to determine the cause of death.
