Apakorn Kiatwong Hospital marked Songkran and Elderly Day with a water-pouring ceremony in Sattahip.
Hospital director Rear Adm. Anek Tantiwonsith welcomed government officials, doctors, nurses and employees to the April 11 event. Former directors and children of hospital employees sprinkled water over the elderly to pay respect for Songkran.
Anek said the ceremony was a hospital tradition for Songkran and an opportunity to pay homage to the facility’s benefactors.
The hospital also operates an elderly club with more than 1,000 members, offering activities for all ages.
Old in years but young in heart, folks from Apakorn Kiatwong Hospital dance in the Thai New Year.
