Chonburi Deputy Gov. Chamnanwit Taerat and Banglamung District Chief Chakorn Kanjawattana picked up brooms to lead Pattaya workers and volunteers in cleaning up Walking Street.
More than 20 people sprayed down the nightlife street and scrubbed it with detergent Feb. 27 to prepare for the weekend’s Colors of the East festival to promote tourism.
Officials said it was important to show Pattaya as a clean destination as the festival was aimed at showing off the best of all the eastern provinces.
