An Australian man died after apparently jumping from the seventh floor of a Pattaya hotel.
James Philip Cook, 63, was pronounced dead outside the R-con Blue Ocean Hotel on Soi Buakhao.
Hotel staff confirmed Cook had been staying there, saying he had often entertained guests, but recently had not been seen.
Police could only speculate as the reason for the suicide.
