The guardians of Pattaya’s public image can rest easy – at least until it rains again – now that city hall mopped up unsightly mud puddles near Bali Hai Pier.
Pump trucks mopped up the standing water near the pier flyover, allowing the sun to dry the dirt that had made the area a muddy mosh pit.
The mud slides down Pratamnak Hill and pools in the low spot at the base of the hillside road.
The entire Bali Hai area is under construction, so the fact there is mud and pooled water under the pier flyover shouldn’t have surprised anyone. But worrywarts said it’s just one thing that makes the city look bad.
