Banglamung’s district chief served a Mother’s Day meal to inmates at the Pattaya Remand Prison.
Naris Niramaiwong and his wife, Suponya, the head of the Banglamung Red Cross, organized the Aug. 9 meal for 641 women housed there. The Red Cross also gave each convict a supply of basic necessities.
As a thank you, a group of female prisoners put on a stage performance while others got a chance to participate in an occupational training class to help them once they are freed.
