A former Sa Kaeo district chief has taken over the top role in Banglamung District.
Naris Miramaiwong, former administrator for Wang Nam Yen District in the Cambodian-border province, succeeds Chakorn Kanchawattana as the district chief for the area covering Pattaya.
District employees welcomed their new boss Nov. 5, along with his wife, Sukanaya, who takes over as president of the Banglamung Red Cross.
Former Pattaya city council members, civil servants and others presented the couple with flowers and tables were set up for food and beverages for the occasion.
Naris most recently served as chief of the Chonburi Defense Department.
