A new bridge connecting Banglamung and Rayong’s Pluak Daeng districts is now open for business.
Banglamung District Chief Naris Niramaiwong said Nov. 8 that the bridge in Chakpakbueng in Khao Maikaew sub-district crosses a creek where an old, damaged bridge once stood.
The public land had been taken over by property encroachers, rendering the crossing useless.
Authorities spent time evicting the squatters and organized a budget to build a new bridge, which is now open.
