Bodies of 6 navy sailors return to Sattahip Naval Base

The bodies will be on a C-130 plane of the air force from Wing 5 in Prachuap Khiri Khan and the plane will land at U-Tapao airport in the afternoon.

The navy will transport the bodies of six navy sailors of sunken HTMS Sukhothai by air back to the Sattahip Naval Base in Sattahip district of Chonburi for funeral rites.

The bodies will be on a C-130 plane of the air force from Wing 5 in Prachuap Khiri Khan. The plane will land at U-Tapao airport in the afternoon. Navy commander-in-chief Adm Choengchai Chomchoengpaet will receive the bodies and funeral rites will be organized to honor the dead sailors.



HM the King supported the funeral rites including the royally sponsored bathing ceremonies for the bodies. The royally sponsored funeral rites will be organized for at least one night.

For the navy sailors who were natives of other provinces, the navy will transport their bodies to their home province and support their honorable funeral rites until cremation. (TNA)
