Two British men were fined 5,000 baht each for an early morning brawl with a Walking Street security guard that was captured on video.
Mark Jones and Kieran Frannery were hauled into Pattaya Police Station Sept. 10 following their altercation with pub bouncer Thanawat Wannasiripetch.
Frannery, who owns the unnamed pub, got into an argument with Jones and the disagreement spilled out on to the street. Thanachai tried to break it up but ended up getting punched.
Both foreigners were fined 5,000 baht for disturbing the peace while Thanachai was let off. Police said the fight, which was shown online in a low-quality, two-minute video, damaged the image of the city.
