An expected 50,000 motorcycle enthusiasts are expected to attend as Burapa Bike Week roars into Pattaya again this weekend.

Fifty bike clubs from around Thailand and the United States, Germany, Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, Vietnam and other countries likely will participate in the Feb. 13-14 festival at the Eastern National Indoor Sports Stadium on Soi Chaiyapruek 2.

Following tradition, the two-day bike “week” starts with a 6 p.m. “ride for peace” through the streets of Pattaya. About 1,000 big bikes will take up to 90 minutes to roll from the Soi Chaiyapruek 2 venue, turn right toward Sukhumvit and proceed north through the Thepprasit intersection, turning east on North Road. Riders continue down through the Dolphin Roundabout, down Beach Road to Bali Hai Pier and into Jomtien Beach and back to Soi Chaiyapruek 2.
