The sound of big bikes and hard rock filled the air in Pattaya as Burapa Bike Week rolled through the city for the 21st time.

Former Culture Minister Sonthaya Kunplome and Pattaya City Councilman Sinchai Wattanasartsathorn opened the Feb. 9-10 event at the Eastern National Indoor Sports Stadium.

Burapa Motorcycle Club President Prasan Kikaji welcomed motorcycle and custom-car enthusiasts from across the globe, saying this year’s show really fit its motto of “We are the World”.

The expo opened with booths offering motorcycle parts and accessories, as well as entire vehicles from Vespa, Honda and more. There were copious amounts of food and drink and lectures on motor-enthusiast topics as well.

On the second afternoon, bikers joined for the annual “ride for peace” that took them from Soi Chaiyapruek through Pattaya to Central Road, up to Sukhumvit Road and back to the stadium.

Music poured from two stages, one featuring 70s rock from AC/DC tribute band Live Wire, U.S. heavy metal rockers Syteria, reggae band Inner Circle and more. Thailand’s own rockers Lam Morrison and Maleehuana also played.
