Burapha University showcased Thai research efforts to a world audience at its second International Academic Forum.
University President Sompol Pongthai opened the May 30 forum at the Hilton Pattaya, with Thai and international professors, researchers and students attending. The meeting was aimed at publicizing research studies and papers to elevate Thai research to international levels.
“Research is an important tool to the development of the economy and society of a country,” Sompol said. “Therefore, the potential in research is another element of skills required for competition and development of Thailand, which must build a practice, or educate through practice, to push Thai society to become a wise society.”
The forum is part of Burapha’s 10-year plan to develop the university as a leading research institution.
