A Chonburi policeman was injured when he was attacked by burglars who broke into his Pattaya home.
Pol. Sgt. Watanapan Kongkham suffered bruises and swelling to the face during the Jan. 14 break-in. He was treated at Banglamung Hospital.
The officers said he was watching television downstairs when he heard a noise coming from the second floor. While investigating, he found three men ransacking his bedroom for valuables.
Upon seeing Watanapan, the burglars attacked, one putting him in a choke hold while the other two punched him in the face. The officer called for help and the burglars fled.
Watanapan didn’t say what, if anything, was stolen.
