Chonburi Immigration officers arrested a Burmese man using a fake passport to work illegally in a Pattaya hotel.
Kyaw Kar, 23, was taken into custody at the Jomtien Beach office when he went to extend his visa. The agent manning the counter suspected the passport had been forged, which it was found to be after being tested.
Kyaw Kar was remanded into custody and prepared for deportation back to Myanmar.
