Police arrested a Cambodian laborer for allegedly stabbing a compatriot to death at a construction camp in Pattaya.
Identified only as Vee, 24, the suspect was brought to the Thanya Crest Engineering Co. site on Pratamnak Soi 5 March 19.
Police said Vee was one of 10 Cambodians brought in to work at the site for 10 days. After work, during a group drinking session, an argument broke out and Vee allegedly stabbed his coworker with an 18-centimeter hand tool nine times.
He fled the scene and was captured hiding in another construction camp in Laem Chabang three days later.
