A Cambodian man was stabbed in an apparent road-rage incident in South Pattaya.
Hang Van Rith, 29, suffered a single knife wound to the shoulder in the Jan. 15 attack near the Bow House Hotel on Thepprasit Soi 17. He initially was taken to Pattaya Hospital, but transferred to Banglamung Hospital after believing the city hospital wanted a 50,000 baht payment in advance. The hospital later clarified they told him 5,000 baht.
Police said Hang recounted that he’d been driving his motorbike when he was cut off by a compact car. The couple driving pulled over and an argument ensued. It was then he was stabbed, Hang said.
Police are trying to track down the drivers.
