Two Cambodian men were arrested for allegedly robbing two compatriots at knifepoint.
Boonmee Tapbaen, 25, and Tam Phopan, 26, were brought to a Dec. 28 news conference where police said they broke into an apartment shared by Lim Seyha, 20, and a 17-year-old on Christmas Day.
The suspects allegedly threatened the two Khmer men at knifepoint and made off with 7,000 baht.
Police said Tam and Boonmee had a knife on them and managed to get 7,000 baht, and two mobile phones before fleeing the scene.
Police said the two suspects confessed and were charged with theft after dark. The pair supposedly tried to justify their crime by claiming the victims were also part of a gang of nighttime burglars.
