About 40 Central Festival Pattaya Beach employees practiced how to handle fuel leaks, jumpers and terrorist attacks during an emergency-preparedness drill at the beachfront mall.
Pattaya City Councilman Rattanachai Sutidechanai opened the Sept. 4 training session with police and Central executives on hand.
Thanet Sawangsree, senior manager for losses prevention, led the training exercise in the sixth-floor parking lot, which covered leaking fuel from parked vehicles, people threatening to jump from the high-rise and terrorist attacks.
Employees are shown what to do in case of a fuel leak in the parking garage.
“Central Festival Pattaya Beach believes in the importance of safety. Therefore, this training and practice session has been organized for the benefit of the relief team, since these are the individuals that will have to help the consumers whose lives are absolutely important when help must be provided immediately and taken to utmost safety place during emergency situations,” said Sornchai Inthawichai, general manager of Central Plaza Chonburi.
