Pattaya workers cleaned out drainage pipes blocked by trash and leaves.
Environment Department staffers took a small garbage truck to the road behind the Mae Sri restaurant in central Pattaya May 3 in anticipation of more thunderstorms and flooding.
Workers also swept up litter on the street and scraped off leaves and other natural debris that could end up in the drains.
