Pattaya recently opened an office in Qingdao following a visit there to discuss Nong Nooch Tropical Garden’s participating in the 2014 World Plant exhibition.  Delegation leader Yuan Zhongxue, director of State Research Center for Tire Processing, said this reciprocal visit was intended to further strengthen the ties between the two cities.

Engineers from Qingdao are expected to arrive in Thailand next year to help lead the renovation of Wat Arun Raj Wararam, the “Temple of Light” in Bangkok. The temple’s last overhaul was in 1789.
