A Chinese man had his finger cut off by gangsters from his homeland, but Pattaya-area police have few clues who they are.
Nongprue and Tourist police officers joined Chonburi Immigration police at a house in East Pattaya Oct. 31 after a report that a man was beaten up and a finger cut off.
Haibo Ren, 41, lost the little finger of his right hand in the assault. He was sent to Bangkok Hospital Pattaya.
None of the perpetrators were at the house, but their Toyota Fortuner was found parked at the Mabprachan Reservoir.
Police said all they knew initially was that Haibo was taken from Pattaya to a house in Huay Yai and brought back to Nongprue. They don’t know how many gangsters there were or even where Haibo’s finger was cut.
Presumably, they’ll have more clues once Haibo was interviewed and the crime scene fingerprinted.
