Police are searching for a youth on a motorbike who stole a 200,000-baht gold necklace from a Chinese tourist.
Chen Wi Xian, 32, said he had stopped at a street cart to buy and eat some fruit when what looked to him like a teenager snatched the thick gold chain from around his neck. Chen said it was his first day in Pattaya.
Police checked out possible exchange routes, but did not locate the thief and but police recovered a vague image of him from CCTV cameras.
