The buffalos will be racing again in Chonburi this weekend as the province opens the 145th livestock festival.
Deputy Gov. Chawalit Saeng-Uthai chaired a Sept. 30 preparation meeting for the buffalo racing spectacle that begins in front of the Muang District office Oct. 9.
Saturday will see the red-whiskered bull competition and the Farmer Girl pageant will be held Oct. 14 at 5 p.m. The main buffalo race will be held Oct. 15 preceded by a parade.
The festival also features a breeder competition, buffalo “beauty pageant” and games. (CPRD)
