Chonburi officials began checking the vision of Banglamung District residents as it prepared to give away 1,700 pairs of eyeglasses today.
People will pick up their glasses, along with bags of basic necessities, at the Eastern National Indoor Sports Stadium on Soi Chaiyapruek 2 March 13.
Chonburi is providing eyeglasses and help for the poor residents of Nongprue, Naklua, and Huay Yai. Vision checks began March 3.
Riam Saengo, 89, has an eye exam because she cannot see her TV programs clearly.
