The Chonburi Land Office joined the province’s anti-corruption drive, signing a “performance commitment” to work transparently.

Gov. Khomsan Ekachai signed the declaration to prevent and suppress corruption of officers under orders of the Ministry of Interior at the provincial hall Nov. 10.

The document was drafted to raise awareness about the value of honesty in the workplace and good performance by Land Department employees in an effort to meet standards of good governance and prevent misconduct.

Khomsan said the ministry viewed corruption-prevention as a top priority and ordered provinces to establish an anti-corruption center.

Additionally, it has been believed that prevention and suppression corruption will be successful if the government gets good cooperation and support at the local level.
