Gov. Pakarathorn Thienchai led the Oct. 27 ceremony attended by judges, soldiers, police and residents at Chonburi City Hall.

Eighty-nine monks, including Enek Tanissaro, abbot of Inraram Temple, chanted and prayed. This was followed by a “tak baht devo” ceremony to mark the end of rainy season with donations of food, rice and more.

Similar ceremonies were held later that day at Intaram and at Yansangwararam Woramahawihan Temple in Pattaya. Each temple had 30 monks participate in chanting ceremonies and receive alms.
