Chonburi’s governor and Pattaya city officials joined the public in paying tribute to the late His Majesty the King by singing the royal anthem on Pattaya Beach.
Gov. Pakarathorn Thienchai joined city council members, police, military, students and civil servants Oct. 21 at the public stage at the Beach Road intersection with Central Road to sing “Sadudee Maharacha” before a portrait of the late monarch.
People then laid white flowers before the image and stood in silent tribute to the King for nine minutes.
