Pattaya city work crews repaired the multipurpose zone of Naklua’s Lan Po Public Park after it was heavily damaged by cars parking on the unreinforced pavement.
Workers on March 20 placed new bricks and improved the landscaping around the 2-rai area where foreign tourists and locals exercise. Users had complained two weeks before about the hazardous and ugly condition of the pavement.
The zone collapsed after city hall allowed cars and trucks to park there to relieve a shortage of normal spaces.
Parking on the repaired surface is now banned again.
