Fire broke out at a Nong Plalai building site after a crane boom fell into high-voltage lines.
Firefighters were called to the Herb and Health complex on Highway 36 across the Lamb Farm Pattaya Feb. 14 where a small brush fire was burning uncontrollably, threatening an adjacent gas station.
Firefighters took about 30 minutes to extinguish the blaze with no damage to the station or injuries.
Police questioned Thawan Namjaidee, 36, the head of operations at the building site, and he said workers had been moving the crane and tipped over on unstable ground. The boom hit the electric lines, knocking them into the grass.
