Disabled Thais looking to find jobs and learn about human rights and education can now say “there’s an app for that.”

The Father Ray Foundation Nov. 14 rolled out a smartphone application serving as a front-end for its 1479 telephone hotline. Rev. Michael Picharn Jaiseri, vice president of Father Ray Foundation and Pattaya City Councilman Rattanachai Sutidechanai debuted the app developed by RIS at the Redemptorist School for Persons with Disabilities.

Jaiseri said the “1479 App Hotline for the Disabled” will provide another avenue of service from the foundation to publicize news about development of the disabled and those who are interested. The app will provide information about rights, jobs, education, news and other information.

New features exclusive to the software will be a Q&A function and registration for volunteer activities.
