Disabled Pattaya man donates wheelchair to others in need

Uncle Boonsong Putkratok who is himself physically challenged donates his wheelchair to Nongprue Deputy Mayor Niyom Theingthum and Social Welfare chief Pattama Chanchiew to be given to another person in need.

A wheelchair-bound Pattaya man donated a wheelchair of his own to Nongprue Subdistrict to give to a resident in need.

Boonsong Putkratok, 62, presented the wheelchair to Nongprue Deputy Mayor Niyom Theingthum and Social Welfare chief Pattama Chanchiew at the municipal office Sept. 16.

Uncle Boonsong Putkratok understands the needs of other handicapped people helps raise funds in cash and kind for the Social Welfare Department.

While Boonsong cannot walk, he said he already has a good chair. The one he donated was given to him by a woman whose elderly husband died. He wanted to give it to the local government to pass on to another disabled resident.




It’s not the first time Boonsong has donated a wheelchair. He has become a steady source of donations for the Social Welfare Department.
