Police believe a disgruntled employee killed the wife of his former employer after being fired.
The body of Sinmalee Wattanathum, 27, was found in her Rattanakorn Village home May 1. The steel pipe used to crack her skull was found on a nearby table.
Neighbors called police and husband Sophon Wattanathum after hearing a commotion in the house.
Sophon, an air conditioning contractor, told police he believed an employee named “Jack” he fired after a month on the job was responsible for the killing. He said Jack likely came to the house for his salary, which he did not receive.
The suspect also stole the dead woman’s motorbike. A search of Jack’s house found both the suspect and his wife had fled.
