PATTAYA, Thailand – On March 24, local law enforcement effectively subdued a disoriented man wielding a knife and displaying erratic and aggressive behaviour in Soi Thappraya 12, near Pattaya Park.
The incident initially overwhelmed unprepared municipal officers, prompting a swift intervention by a specialized police task force equipped with riot control gear. Eyewitnesses described tense moments as law enforcement closed in on the man, ultimately cornering him in a nearby alley.
Identified as Wirasak Boontot, a 38-year-old resident of an abandoned building in the area, authorities suspect substance abuse as a contributing factor. Boontot was taken into custody, and a thorough investigation is underway to ensure community safety.
