Authorities raided a nightclub on one of the sidestreets off Walking Street, finding drugs, underage teens and an unlicensed business open beyond legal limits.

Banglamung District Chief Naris Niramaiwong and Pattaya’s police chief, Pol. Col. Apichai Kroppech led the 4 a.m. operation on Dance 2 March 12.

Police ended the party for the 150 people inside, testing them all for drugs and checking identification cards. They found 18 minors and 19 others who flunked their drug test.

Authorities also seized ecstasy, ketamine and shisha.

Manager Niwat Saengsaikaew, 30, was arrested and charged with operating past legal closing times, lacking proper licenses, selling alcohol without a license and serving underage customers.

Teenagers were detained and held until they were picked up by their parents. Those found to have used drugs were booked on narcotics charges at Pattaya Police Station.
