The drunk driver who smashed his car into a wheel shop wasn’t hard to locate. Police found him sleeping on the sofa inside.
Watchra Saelee, a clerk at the Por Kanyang 2020 mag wheels shop in Panthong’s Ban Kao Subdistrict of Chonburi, said he called police around 11 p.m. Oct. 15, after someone knocked on the door long after hours. He chased off the man with a stick.
10 minutes later the man returned, kicking at the front gate before crashing his Isuzu D-Max into the front of the store.
But rather than leave, the unidentified drunk, got out of the Isuzu and laid down to sleep on the sofa inside.
Owner Panya Kongjumpol, 45, arrived at the smashed store to find the culprit sleeping. He made a video of the damage and the suspect and called police.
Damage at the store was estimated at 200,000 baht.
