About 150 people convicted of drunk driving attended a mandatory seminar where they were briefed on the legalities of driving under the influence and the punishment for doing so.

The June 16 workshop was organized by the Pattaya Provincial Court and Chonburi Office of Probation at Jittapawan College in Banglamung.

Court office director Kesornthip Niwaswuthikitch introduced guest speakers from both organizers, who gave an overview on the drunk-driving law, release on bail and criminal punishment.

Chief Justice Wachira Thaninsorn said those attending had been arrested for drunk driving and the workshop was aimed at rehabilitating their behavior so they do not repeat the offense.
