A drunk Indian man stumbled into trouble when he was stopped by Immigration Police who found he had overstayed his visa by more than two years.
Damanjeet Singh, 34, was picked up by patrol officers on Soi 10 and was discovered to be carrying no identification. After investigation, authorities determined he had overstayed by 796 days. Singh entered the kingdom on June 8, 2013 on a 15-day visa-on-arrival and had extended it for a week.
He was processed for deportation and will be blacklisted from Thailand for 10 years.
