A group of friends met for drinks on the morning of May 8 around the Charknok Reservoir area in east Pattaya. After the morning binge, they decided to go home.
51-year-old Amnuay Kumprasit hitched a ride with a friend on his motorbike. As they were driving along Tungklom-Tanmun Road, she lost her grip and tumbled off the back of the bike hitting her head on the hard surface.
Whether the motorbike driver, who was just as inebriated, realized what had happened or just wanted to get away, we don’t know, but he sped off down the road without even stopping to help his friend who had just fallen off his bike.
Drinking buddies riding behind them stopped to help and summoned a local rescue team. Paramedics quickly arrived at the scene where they administered first aid and bandaged Amnuay’s head before sending her to Banglamung Hospital in Pattaya for further treatment.
