A Dutch fugitive wanted in Switzerland for the murder of a compatriot has been captured hiding out in Pattaya.
Ronnie Westdijk, 39, was captured June 6 by Chonburi Immigration police. He had arrived in Thailand on May 4 and was supposed to leave by June 2.
Police said Westdijk confessed to the charges of killing a Dutch woman in Switzerland during a robbery in which he made off with 4,000 euros and two expensive watches.
He was wanted on an arrest warrant issued by Swiss law enforcement and was processed for deportation.
